Guide to preorder

A pre-order simply means that you are reserving an item at a specific price while it is still in the production phase, which is typically  several months before it will be available for shipment.

The reason we offer this service is that nearly all of our items are created in very limited numbers and it is not unusual for demand to exceed supply and the item sells out.

This is beneficial to the collector because it is common for these items to increase in value after their release. By pre-ordering ahead of release you have guaranteed that you will get your item for a certain price and not have to pay inflated secondary market prices.

For example, in 2008 we released a statue of the Street Fighter character, AKUMA. Our official retail price for Akuma was $275.00. Today, Akuma sells on EBAY for $2000+. That is why pre-ordering has become so common in the collectibles industry.

If you decide to pre-order an item there is one important consideration…Patience. These are hand-made collectibles and not assembled by a machine. This means they take time and while we do provide estimated ship dates on the products pages, unfortunately, delays are common while we work to make the best collectible possible.

Order Information

At Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, we do our best to make ordering as easy as possible.

Just click on a product and you will be taken to the order page where you will see images of the item and instructions on how to order that item. For in-stock items there will only be one selection, payment in full plus appropriate shipping fees.

For pre-order items you will find three options as follows:

 Pre-payment in full

This is the best value when it comes to pre-orders as you will receive a discount of between 10-20% depending on the item. This option will only be available for the first 4-8 weeks from the time an item begins its pre-order period, after that it will disappear. If you choose this option the only thing you will have left to pay when the item arrives in our warehouse is shipping.

Payment plan

This option is great for those who would rather nibble away at the cost of their new collectible, than swallow it in one bite. This option also comes with a discount of between 5-10% depending on the item. Depending on the price of the item the payment plan offered can range from 2  to 6 payments spread out over the course of production.

While it does not offer a discount, paying a deposit will reserve your item so that if it sells out you still get it at the retail price and do not have to resort to paying high secondary market values on a site like EBay.

Kotal Kahn is a warrior from the realm of Osh-Tekk and the current Emperor of Outworld, following the death of the former leader, Shao Kahn. Kotal Kahn's appearance resembles an Aztec eagle warrior, the elite soldiers from the Aztec empire. Kotal's headdress resembles the headwear used by Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec God of War and the Sun. His attire consists of gold, metal armlets on both of his arms, along with a belt that holds his Tecpatl with a leather cloth hanging from the belt. There also seem to be remnants of bones disseminated on the cloth. Kotal Kahn's torso has several tattoos which glow in varying colors depending on his combat variation, his design may also have been inspired by the Aztec emperor, Moctezuma.
