Guide to preorder

A pre-order simply means that you are reserving an item at a specific price while it is still in the production phase, which is typically  several months before it will be available for shipment.

The reason we offer this service is that nearly all of our items are created in very limited numbers and it is not unusual for demand to exceed supply and the item sells out.

This is beneficial to the collector because it is common for these items to increase in value after their release. By pre-ordering ahead of release you have guaranteed that you will get your item for a certain price and not have to pay inflated secondary market prices.

For example, in 2008 we released a statue of the Street Fighter character, AKUMA. Our official retail price for Akuma was $275.00. Today, Akuma sells on EBAY for $2000+. That is why pre-ordering has become so common in the collectibles industry.

If you decide to pre-order an item there is one important consideration…Patience. These are hand-made collectibles and not assembled by a machine. This means they take time and while we do provide estimated ship dates on the products pages, unfortunately, delays are common while we work to make the best collectible possible.

Order Information

At Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, we do our best to make ordering as easy as possible.

Just click on a product and you will be taken to the order page where you will see images of the item and instructions on how to order that item. For in-stock items there will only be one selection, payment in full plus appropriate shipping fees.

For pre-order items you will find three options as follows:

 Pre-payment in full

This is the best value when it comes to pre-orders as you will receive a discount of between 10-20% depending on the item. This option will only be available for the first 4-8 weeks from the time an item begins its pre-order period, after that it will disappear. If you choose this option the only thing you will have left to pay when the item arrives in our warehouse is shipping.

Payment plan

This option is great for those who would rather nibble away at the cost of their new collectible, than swallow it in one bite. This option also comes with a discount of between 5-10% depending on the item. Depending on the price of the item the payment plan offered can range from 2  to 6 payments spread out over the course of production.

Deposit

While it does not offer a discount, paying a deposit will reserve your item so that if it sells out you still get it at the retail price and do not have to resort to paying high secondary market values on a site like EBay.

Product Description

"My destiny is to defeat all challengers who wander the earth!"

In honor of the very first character the partnership between PCS and Capcom produced back in 2008, we are bringing collectors a brand new statue of Akuma from Street Fighter.

This Akuma Anniversary Statue represents more than just another statue. This new statue is the accumulation of all the knowledge and experience we have accrued as a company since we started. In an age when most items are digitally created, this collectible was personally hand-sculpted by PCS founder, Jerry Macaluso, just as the first Akuma was done many years ago.

The new Akuma statue now rendered in a larger, 1:3 scale size (the first one was 1:4), clocking in at a staggering 32" tall. No expense was spared in including tailored fabric costume, light-up LED eyes and movie-quality Acrylic teeth.

Not only is this the best Akuma collectible ever, it could very well be the best statue PCS has ever produced.

Backstory

Akuma , known in Japan as Gouki (豪鬼 Gōki?, lit. "Great Spirit" or "Great Soul"), is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu's and Ken's master. Akuma is a cold and extremely powerful warrior whose sole reason for being is to hone his fighting skills by battling and destroying strong foes. He rarely displays any sign of emotions, aside from occasional bursts of anger, and rarely smiles. He takes his training very seriously and deals brutally with those who dare interrupt him Occasionally, he likes to test himself against worthy rivals. He is also somewhat nihilistic by principle as he seeks someone able to kill him and it is shown in his Alpha 2 ending. Akuma refers to himself as a "denizen of hell" and "evil incarnate", and is seen as such by many. This may be a result of the Satsui no Hado ("Surge of Murderous Intent") taking a toll on his mind.
